A European national research center is offering a scholarship position to a first stage researcher in the field of natural sciences. The study relates to the shrinking of ice sheets and the consequent impact on the water cycle. A multi-disciplinary effort is being undertaken involving research in a range of scientific fields. An MSc in geology, chemistry, oceanography or a related field is required for application. Researchers will also need laboratory and chemical analysis experience [Ra/Rn isotope] with very good English skills. The completion of a doctoral dissertation relating to groundwater inflow and biogeochemical impact will be the outcome following field studies in Norway.
A scholarship is offered for 3 years and an additional year of research can potentially be arranged. The project begins in October of 2020 and the application deadline is the 27th of August in 2020.
